Bharat; HIT or FLOP?Bharat Box Office Collection Till Now
Bharat took a huge opening at the box office by collecting around an estimated ~38.32 crores on its first day. Bharat is the biggest box office opener of 2019, far ahead of the other films released earlier this year, and also the highest box office opening for Salman Khan so far in his career. Bharat released on Wednesday 5th June on the occasion of EID which is a holiday across the country. As evident by the humongous first day collections, EID holiday has immensely contributed towards Bharat's ticket sales. Bharat was riding on back of a very good advance booking, highest for 2019 so far, and far ahead of Gully Boy and Kalank. The film is also the biggest release of 2019 in terms of screen count and shows. The huge first day box office numbers are also because of the increased ticket prices, where the average ticket price at the multiplexes was around ~250 Rs.
The film took a substantial drop in its collections post-EID, but was almost back on track on Saturday and Sunday, but still lower than the first two days' collections. The film performed equally well at both the multiplexes and the single screens. The world cup cricket matches may have slightly dented its collections, specially on Sunday, but nothing really significant at any levels.
Bharat opened to thoroughly mixed reviews from the critics, and the audience word-of-mouth is also mixed as well, going by our initial ground reports from the cinemas.
