The first day advance ticket booking for the film 'Saaho' has been excellent, specially in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana where the film originally comes from. The film is a solo release in both of these states and in the Hindi market as well. As a result, the film has managed to a get an impressive number of screens for its release. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, 'Saaho' will be released in around an estimated ~1550 screens (All versions), and bulk of the shows at a significant number screens are already sold-out, and the rest are in the phase of getting filled-up at a brisk pace. 'Saaho' will open to above 90% occupancy in both AP & TG, and is all set to put-up a huge box office figure on Day 1 for the Telugu version. Karnataka has also shown a good response towards the advance booking, specially in Bangalore, Mysore and in the region of 'Hyderabad-Karnataka'. The film will be released in around an estimated ~450 screens across Karnataka (All versions).
The total pre-release advance ticket sales of 'Saaho' (Hindi version) amounts to around an estimated ~11 crores. Out of which, the first day advance ticket sales amounts around ~6.5 crores, and Day 2 amounts to around ~2.5 crores (at the time of our report). The hype and the buzz that 'Saaho' witnessed should've converted into better numbers, but these advance booking figures are good enough for the Hindi version to take a good start. Delhi NCR has shown a better response at the advance booking compared to Mumbai. In fact, 'Saaho' (Hindi) is actually seeing a comparatively better response at the Tier-2 and the smaller towns compared to the Metros like Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
Going by the advance booking figures, the first day box office collection of 'Saaho' (Hindi version) can be around 24-25 crores, and can go beyond the 25 crore mark depending on the walk-ins/spot bookings tomorrow.

'Saaho' is a typical commercial action film that brings the single screen audience en masse to the theaters. Hence, 'Saaho' should see a better response at the mass centres than all the recently released Bollywood films which tilted towards the Multiplex audience. The first weekend business will be good at both the single screens and the multiplexes, but thereafter the film will be quite reliant on the word-of-mouth and the critical reception to keep going at the multiplexes. The holdover releases like 'Mission Mangal' and 'Batla House' won't be affecting 'Saaho' at the box office much.
