Kalank World TV Premiere
Kalank is below-average on its TV debut.Kalank TV Premiere Viewership Ratings
The box office fiasco, 'Kalank', featuring actors Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles, made its television debut on the 2nd of October 2019 on the occasion of the 'Gandhi Jayanti' National holiday. The film was aired for the first time on television on the Star TV network's channels, Star Gold and Star Plus. Star Gold is the network's dedicated movie channel, while Star Plus is a GEC (General Entertainment Channel). 'Kalank' was telecasted simultaneously on both the channels at 12 o'clock in the afternoon. Like almost all the TV premieres of movies, 'Kalank' also got the afternoon slot on a holiday to get the most viewer impressions. But, 'Kalank' was below-average on its TV debut.
According to the 'Broadcast Audience Research Council' also known as 'BARC', 'Kalank' got around ~38 lakh impressions during its telecast on Star Gold, which is less than the repeat telecasts of films like 'Bahubali 2' and '2.0'.
'Super 30', which had also made its TV debut simultaneously on both Star Gold and Star Plus on Sunday 22 Sep at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, had a lot better response than 'Kalank'. 'Super 30' WTP had ~87 lakh impressions on Star Gold compared to the ~38 lakh impressions of 'Kalank'. Just like at the box office, 'Kalank' din't make much of an impact on its TV debut.
