'The Sky Is Pink' is biographical drama based on the life of an young Indian author who died at the age of 18 due to a lung disease. The trailer is well-cut, and is very clear of how it wants to present the movie and the kind of perception that it wants to build with the potential audience. The trailer makes it clear that it doesn't want to give any wrong impressions about the film, and it is clear about its target audience. Going by the trailer, the film seems to a simmering emotional drama, focused mainly on the interpersonal relationships and the ups and downs that are part of them. The film seems to be narrated from Zaira Wasim's character's point of view, who is playing Farhan and Priyanka's daughter in the film; starting from the lead couple's love strory to the tragical ending. The trailer hints that amidst all the serious emotional drama, the film also contains fun-filled and light-hearted moments creating a good balance. Purely going by the trailer, the film appears to be well-made, well-shot and well-acted. Anyone who is interested in such genres might want to give this film a shot.
The film's getting a solo release at the Indian box office this week, as the other two movies, 'Lootcase' and 'Laal Kaptaan', which were scheduled to release alongside are postponed to another date. With with 'WAR' going great at the box office, 'The Sky is Pink' will have no threats from 'War' and vice-versa, as the target audience of both the films are quite different.
