Aa Drushya; HIT or FLOP?Aa Drushya Total Collection Till Date
The Kannada language crime-thriller, 'Aa Drushya', starring 'Crazy Star' V Ravichandran in the lead role, released all across Karnataka on 8th November 2019. The film opened to a good response from the audience, and collected around an estimated ~30 lakhs on its first day at the box office. The title of the film, 'Aa Drushya', seems to have obviously helped the film in posting a good box office total. Actor Ravichandran had played the leading role in the 2014 Kannada film titled 'Drishya' which was a HIT at the Kannada box office. And this 2019 film is tilted as 'Aa Drushya' to ride on the success of the 2014 film and to clearly gain advantage at the box office, even though both the films are unrelated to each other. Drishya (2014) was a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film 'Drishyam'. And, 'Aa Drushya' is a remake of the 2016 Tamil film 'Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru'.
'Aa Drushya' showed good growth in its collections at the box office on Saturday and Sunday, and ended its first weekend on a satisfactory note. The film's performance in the weekdays will decide the final fate of the film at the Sandalwood Box Office. The first weekend collection of 'Aa Drushya' stand at around ~1.50 crores. 'Aa Drushya' was released alongside a bunch of other Kannada films at the box office, notable ones being 'Girmit' and 'Kapata Nataka Paatradhari'. But, 'Aa Drushya' was comparatively the biggest of them all, and also the highest collecting Kannada film this weekend (Nov 8, 9 and 10).

'Aa Drushya' opened to positive reviews from the critics, and the audience word-of-mouth is leaning towards the positive side as well, going by our audience response samples collected at the multiplexes in the first two days.
