Aayushmanbhava; HIT or FLOP?Aayushmanbhava Total Collection Till Date
The Kannada language mystery-drama, 'Aayushmanbhava', starring actor Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role was released at the Kannada Box Office on this Friday, 15th November. The movie was finally released after multiple postponements in its release date. The promotions for the film were quite mediocre, and the first weekend collections pretty much reflect our observation. The film had a quite decent opening at the box office as it collected around an estimated ~55 lakhs on its first day. But, the film failed to show any significant growth on Saturday and Sunday, and the overall first weekend growth curve was quite flat. 'Aayushmanbhava's first weekend at the Sandalwood Box Office was average at best, and needed to hold well on its first Monday, which it didn't.
The film would've had better fortunes at the box office had it been named as 'Aaptamitra 2', as 'Aayushmanbhava' reportedly has pretty much a similar storyline to 'Aaptamitra'. 'Aaptamitra' was a huge blockbuster film when it was released, and the 'Aaptamitra 2' name would've given this film a big boost in its pre-release buzz and hype, which could've led to a better box office collection than the current one.

'Aayushmanbhava' opened to positive reviews from the critics, however, the audience word-of-mouth was mixed, going by our audience response samples collected at the multiplexes over the first weekend.
