'Baadshah Pehlwaan', the Hindi dubbed version of Kannada sports-action-drama film 'Pailwaan', made its television debut on 17th November, two months after its theatrical release on 12th September. The film features actor 'Kichcha' Sudeepa in the lead role, and also has actor Suniel Shetty playing an important role in the film. The Hindi version of the film was a box office disaster, as 'Baadshah Pehlwaan' collected less than 2 crores in its lifetime at the Hindi box office. On its 'World TV Premiere', 'Baadshah Pehlwaan' was telecasted on the Sony TV network's flagship movie channel Sony Max at 8 PM Sunday, 17th November. The film received a mediocre response from the TV audience, as the movie's viewership impressions on its first telecast were less than multiple repeat telecasts of other films. According to the 'Broadcast Audience Research Council' also known as 'BARC', 'Baadshah Pehlwaan' could only manage around 34.45 lakh impressions on its television debut. The repeat telecast of another dubbed Kannada movie, 'KGF Chapter 1', gathered 47.86 lakh impressions even after nearly 8 months after its 'World TV Premiere' and numerous telecasts thereafter.
