The Bengali news channels saw a blockbuster increase in their TRP this week, all thanks to the coronavirus. The rise in impressions this week are HUGE compared to the last two weeks. The news channels are witnessing big growth in their TRPs and this holds true for all the Indian news channels. ABP Ananda is the Top Bengali News Channel this week with 205269K impressions. Calcutta News has made a comeback to the TOP-5 TRP list after many weeks, and currently holds the 4th position with 28938K impressions. R Plus is out of the Top-5 list this week.

The top Bengali TV channel with highest TRP this week according to BARC ratings is Zee Bangla with 325959K viewership impresssions. Last week it was Star Jalsha which had held the top spot and this week it is again Zee Bangla in the first place. Both the channels are in a close race to occupy the top spot.
Sony Aath has moved-up a position to occupy the 4th spot after it was back in the Top-5 after a gap of six weeks in the last week's ratings list. And, Colors Bangla is pushed down to 5th place this week.
There is no change in the positions of the channels in the news channels category.

According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) TV viewership data, the most watched top Bengali TV channel this week is Star Jalsha. Star Jalsha and Zee Bangla are in a close race to occupy the top spot. It was Zee Bangla which had held the first place last week, and this week Star Jalsha occupies the top spot.
The third place is held by Jalsha Movies, which has consistently been in that position for many weeks now. Zee Bangla Cinema and Sun Bangla, which were in the TOP-5 list last week, are out of the TOP-5 in this week's ratings list.
Colors Bangla is in the 4th position, followed by Sony Aath, which is back in the Top-5 after six weeks, and currently holds the 5th position.

According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) TV viewership data, the most watched top Bengali TV channel this week is Star Jalsha. Star Jalsha, which was in the close second position behind Zee Bangla last week, has overtaken Zee Bangla in the TRP ratings list this week to occupy the first place. Zee Bangla, which had held the first position for many months now, has slipped to the second place behind Star Jalsha.
Jalsha Movies holds the 3rd place. And, Colors Bangla has moved-up a place to occupy the 4th position, which is followed by Sun Bangla in the 5th position. Zee Bangla Cinema, which had occupied the 4th position in last week's list, is out of the TOP 5 in this week's TRP ratings list.
In the Bangla news channels category, ABP Ananda is still the most watched top Bengali news channel, which is followed by Zee 24 Ghanta in the distant second place. Zee 24 Ghanta has less than half of ABP Ananda's viewership.
News18 Bangla, which was in the 4th place in the Bengali News TV Channels TRP List last week, has lost considerably high number of viewership impressions this week. The channel has slipped out of the TOP 5 this week, and has viewership less than Calcutta News. Calcutta News holds the 5th position in this week's ratings list.

According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) TV viewership data, the top Bengali TV channel from 04th January 2020 to 10th January 2020 is Zee Bangla. Zee Bangla has been in the top position for many weeks now along with Star Jalsha in the second position. The gap between the two channels is not much, but Zee Bangla has consistently maintained its top position in the TRP list.
Jalsha Movies occupies a distant third position, followed by Zee Bangla Cinema and Colors Bangla in the 4th and 5th positions respectively. Sony Aath, which was in the 5th position in last week's TRP list, is out of TOP 5 list this week.
In the Bengali News Channels category, the positions remain the same from last week, as ABP Ananda continues to hold the top position. The overall viewership impressions of all the Bengali News TV channels has witnessed a rise this week, specially ABP Ananda which has seen more rise than the rest of the channels.
