Total Screens - Official estimate of approx 3700 screens all across India, inclusive of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu 2D & 3D versions.
'Street Dancer 3D' released alongside another film named 'Panga', which features actress Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. In terms of the screen count, 'Street Dancer 3D' is the biggest release of week. 'Panga' is a relatively small scaled release with an all-India screen count of less than half of that of 'Street Dancer 3D'. 'Panga' is released in around ~1450 screens in India.

Verdict - Flop.

Opening Note - 'Street Dancer 3D' opened much below the expected levels as the film failed to reach the two digit mark on Day 1, however, the start is still decent-good. 'ABCD 2', which also starred Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, had collected around 14.50 crores on its opening day. 'Street Dancer 3D' was expected to at least open around the 14-15 crore mark, if not better. But, the film has fallen short of reaching that by a big margin. The film's advance booking had pretty much indicated about the underwhelming opening, but was at least expected to reach the two digit mark. Also, 'Street Dancer 3D' is a costly film compared to 'ABCD 2'. 'Street Dance 3D' is a youth-oriented film and should've seen a better opening, but, may be the lack of novelty and repetitiveness affected the interest in the film among the target audience. The Saturday and Sunday collections should adequately indicate the mood of the film's primary audience. The film needs good growth in the next two days.
Day 2 (Saturday) Collection Update: 'Street Dancer 3D' witnessed a mediocre growth of around ~25% on Saturday, which indicates the very ordinary trending of the film at the box office. The film had received below-average reviews from the critics, and looks like the audience mood is also on the similar lines. The growth at the multiplexes was better compared to the single screens. 'Street Dancer 3D' saw a growth of around 30-35% at the multiplexes, and the overall growth at the single screens was only around 10%! The film collected around 11 crores on its second day (Saturday), which takes its overall all-version two days box office total to ~19.75 crores. The Sunday's growth and the hold in the weekdays are going to be crucial for the film.
Day 3 (Sunday) Collection Update: The film saw a good growth of around 40-45% on Sunday, and this growth was the best among the three major Bollywood films that are currently running at the box office. 'Street Dancer 3D' collected around 15.75 crores on Sunday, which takes the first weekend total to 35.50 crores. The real test is now in the weekdays, and the film should sustain well.
Day 4 (Monday) Collection Update: 'Street dancer 3D' suffered a drop of around ~50% on Monday as compared to Day 1. This is an undesirable drop for the film, as it needed to hold better than this. The film has collected around 4.25-4.50 crores on Day 4, which takes its overall all-version box office total till date to around 40 crores. Even after the undesirable drop on Monday, if the film holds well from here in the weekdays, it has a chance of not emerging as a failure at the box office. But, going by the film's trending in the first 4 days, and not so encouraging audience word-of-mouth, 'Street Dancer' might struggle in the weekdays.
End of 1st Week Update: 'Street Dancer 3D' collected 50.50 crores in its first week. The film is clearly struggling at the box office, and the holdover film, 'Tanhaji', affected its business specially in the state of Maharashtra.
2nd Weekend Collection Update: 'Street Dancer 3D' collected around 7.35 crores in its second weekend, which is around 80% fall compared to its first weekend at the box office. The film struggled to hold in the weekdays, and saw a big drop on its 2nd Friday. And, even though the growth percentage on 2nd Saturday and 2nd Sunday appear good on paper, the steep drop on Friday nullifies the weekend growth, and in fact, the overall growth curve is quite flat. The overall 10 days all-version box office collection is around 57.85 crores.
2nd Week Collection Update: 'Street Dancer 3D' collected 11.20 crores in its second week. With three new films releasing this week, 'Street Dancer' is bound to lose a big chunk of its remaining screens to the new releases. The film might collect around 3 crores in its 3rd week, and that will be it. The overall two weeks box office total of the film stands at around 61.70 crores.
3rd Weekend Collection Update: 'Street Dancer 3D' had a poor 3rd weekend, as it couldn't sustain itself in the wake of the new film releases. The film dropped heavily on its 3rd Friday by around 65%, which nullifies whatever the weekend growth the film witnessed on 3rd Saturday and 3rd Sunday. 'Street Dancer' collected around 1.75 crores on its 3rd weekend, which is more than 75% fall when compared to the 2nd weekend ccollections. The film so far has collected around approx 63.50 crores from its 17 days run at the box office.
3rd Week Collection Update: 'Street Dancer' collected a meagre 2.45 crores from its 3rd week, which is again a huge drop compared to previous weeks. The overall three weeks collection is around 64.15 crores, and that will be it for the film. 'Street Dancer' won't add much from here, as it has limited screenings only at the metro cities.
4th Weekend Collection: 'Street Dancer' added a paltry sum of around 40 lakhs to its box-office total in its fourth weekend, which takes the collection till date to 64.55 crores.
