KGF Chapter 2: HIT or FLOP?KGF Chapter 2 Box Office Collection Prediction | Analysis
'KGF Chapter 2', the second installment in the 'KGF' action film franchise, has built a huge hype around it, which is far greater than the hype that had surrounded 'KGF Chapter 1'. The hype and enthusiasm for Chapter-1 was mostly only from the state of Karnataka, where the film is primarily based in. Being the first Kannada film to release in 5 languages almost all-over India, naturally created a huge interest in the Kannada cine audience, and it also became a matter of pride for the Kannadigas, who wholeheartedly supported the film, which was evident by the amazing business it did at the Kannada box office. But, outside of Karnataka, there wasn't much hype or interest in the film, and the self-proclaimed trade analysts had already written-off the film even before its release. But, 'KGF Chapter 1's box office success proved them all wrong.

'KGF Chapter 1' was released alongside Shahrukh Khan's 'Zero', Dhanush's 'Maari', Vijay Sethupathi's 'Seethakaathi' and several other films, and still managed to post a box office number way more than what was predicted by the trade experts. This success made everyone take notice of the film, and it is this success which is also responsible for the huge hype that surrounds 'KGF Chapter 2' along with the movie team's marketing efforts. The electrifying hit music has further expanded the film's reach and fanbase.
Unlike 'KGF Chapter 1', there is a huge hype and audience interest all-over India for 'KGF Chapter 2'. The addition of popular veteran Hindi actors, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon, to the film's cast has further fueled the audience interest and hype. 'KGF Chapter 2' is going to collect far better than Chapter-1 in all the markets. The release of film will be an event by itself, and this time there aren't many co-releases at the box-office either. Only Thalapathi Vijay's 'Beast' and Shahid Kapoor's remake of a southern film of the same name 'Jersey' are releasing together; and only 'Beast' poses a considerable challenge to 'KGF 2', that too only in the southern states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. In rest of India, there is no one stopping 'KGF 2' from shattering all the previous records.
'KGF Chapter 2 is all-set to release on Thursday 14th April, which is a national holiday on account of Ambedkar Jayanti. The next day, Friday, is also a holiday on account of 'Good Friday'. Thereafter, it will be Saturday and Sunday, which gives 'KGF 2' a long holiday weekend to collect big at the box office. The film will get a definite humongous head-start at the box office, and it will be a huge success at the all-India box office.

Let's now take a look at Chapter 1's first day all India collection (gross).
Kannada - 12 cr.
Hindi - 2.25 cr.
Telugu - 0.75 cr.
Tamil - 0.10 cr.
Malayalam - 0.05 cr.
Day-1 All-India Total - 15.15 cr.
The non-Kannada versions are going to perform a lot better this time. The Hindi version which was released in around 1500 screens, had collected around 2.25 crores on Day-1. This time, the Hindi version screen count will be more than triple, and we expect the film to release in at least 5000 screens in Hindi version alone. And, the Hindi version Day-1 collection will definitely pose a threat to the previous box office records. A minimum of 30 crore Hindi version opening cannot be ruled out. If the film indeed takes an opening of 30 crores in Hindi, then the all-version collection of close to 100 crores on Day-1 becomes a huge possibility.
